Distorted Function are an up-and-coming act from Athens, Greece, exploring the paths of experimental, noise rock since 2012. They’re also known for packaging social/political messages with their brand.
Last year, Distorted Function got around to funneling their experimental style into a couple of self-released numbers; the band’s latest offering, mostly recorded at Grindhouse studio Athens, comes in the form of a spunky single, “1964.”
Reflecting the outfit’s unique incorporation of two bass guitars, the introduction of “1964” pours out a dose of thick heaviness. All is eventually encrusted in an intense groove that pulls you closer to and more engrossed in the action, but may I suggest you experience this trio’s refreshing approach firsthand?
