Exodus – Fabulous Disaster

Exodus became creators of high quality thrash metal in the 1980s, becoming respected within the thrash niche and influential on today’s resurgence of this sub-genre.

In 1989, Exodus released “Fabulous Disaster,” which arguably, introduced a versatile way to tackle the thrash style with groove. The album churned out memorable numbers, “The Toxic Waltz” and “Low Rider.” On this review, I focus on the rhythmic element that is prominent on these tracks and the standout nature of the early Exodus brand. Although I don’t mention “Verbal Razors” in the video, it’s another song deserving kudos for its cathartic craziness.
