Enslaved – The Sleeping Gods EP

For my second review via video, I discuss “The Sleeping Gods” EP from the Norwegian outfit, Enslaved. I mention the origins of the band as well as the evolution of their sound before delivering insight into this five-track EP. I delve into the characteristics of the songs: “Heimvegen,” “Alu Misyrki,” “Synthesis,” “Nordlys” and “The Sleeping Gods.” The record is a versatile effort, hinting at Enslaved’s early albums and exuding the exploratory nature of musical progression in the familiar context of extreme metal.
